Magic Water = Rose Water

Rose water has been all the skincare hype lately, but what most people don’t know is that it has been around for a very long time. My grandma has been putting rose water on her face since she was a teenager and trust me, she looks at least 10 years younger than her age and her skin is GOALS.

You could definitely just buy straight up rose water and take a cotton pad to rub it into your face, but my personal favorite way to use rose water is the Mario Badescu rose water spray because it has other skin enhancing ingredients mixed in with it. While it is primarily rose water, it also has aloe which is another one of my skin care staples! Not only is it a great product, it is fairly cheap as well. I buy mine as a two-pack from Amazon for $14.00 and this lasts me about 2-3 months.

Yeah, this spray has been getting a lot of press lately, but it’s not without reason. After I spray it all over my face and it soaks in, immediately my face has a healthy glow and my skin is super duper soft. I noticed that after a few weeks of continuous use, my acne marks had faded a little and I didn’t need as much moisturizer because my face was just soft all the time. I usually use this spray when I first wake up in the morning and right before I go to bed so it has the most time to soak in and work its magic. I used to have a lot of dry spots on my skin and now 6 months after incorporating it into my daily skin care routine, I no longer have any. Rose water has properties that reduces inflammation, redness, and acne; at first I thought that it was just an exaggeration, but now I see that when I do get pimples, they are not as red and the area around them is not as swollen. When it comes to reducing acne itself, I have not seen any difference, but that could be just due to my skin type.

I don’t know whether it’s just the rose water that is doing this to my skin, or it is the mixture of the rose with the other herbs and aloe vera, but this spray really does work. Like I said before, I’m sure that taking simple rose water and rubbing it in kind of like a moisturizer would have the same effect, but the spray is more convenient and easier to use in my opinion. All in all, I would recommend incorporating rose water into your daily skincare as it is cost efficient and effective!
